Over the Hill (and back again, and again, and again)

A really SOLID week in the bank this week!

Monday and Tuesday evening saw your new strength programme kick off at Levels. With some of our guys on the countdown to Valencia marathon, some people it’s an off season, either way, this programme will help compliment our running

Wednesday, we had a few runners at the marina running for charity with ex-rugby player Kevin Sinfield . Great to see him come to the island. The rest of us had to vacate our normal spot, so we headed to the hills. We did 3 different hills, of varying length and gradient. It was tough, it hurt, but it got done! Great job all round! Post-hill session, some of us headed up to Oakfield to play football with Wednesday Night FC. They’re a charity football club that prioritise participation over competition and put on several slots on a Wednesday evening to accomodate a range of players. I’ve always loved what they do and they have a very similar ethos to us and thats putting the participants wellbeing over the winning. If you haven’t checked them out, check them at www.wnfc.org.uk

Thursday morning saw our joint busiest Coffee Run to date! Everyone was in great spirits and as always… no rain! Thanks to everyon that made the effort to get out of bed for it. From now on BRIGHT clothing please. Thursday evening saw our mixed netball team take on their first fixture of the winter league, where we played Maples. We clicked ALOT better than last week and with the addition of Emily (an actual netballer), it defintely made a difference, and we came away winning 18-10… unbelievable.
