Run Cub!

Another great week for us in the bank! My little helper seemed to be a fan favourite this week (see insta)… unfortunately she won’t be able to help everyweek. She has a bath and bed to get to by 7pm! A short/sharp/fast Wednesday session meant a few sore legs on Thursday morning but we turned up in mass with out biggest Thursday run to date! Thanks to everyone that turned up

Back to some slightly longer reps this week to grow that base. Wednesday will also see our monthly social which will be some food as well as some Petanque (fun fact: I once won a Jersey petanque pairs invitational event with my Gran when I was about 13… she did all the work).

Saturday is also a FUN day for us. A number of runners (including myself) will be running all or some of the Trail Monkey Round the Rock race. We will have an aid station at Beauport for all the runners, giving them refreshments, encouragement and vibes before their home straight back to the finish line. Good luck to everyone taking part!

4 x 5 mins on / 2 mins off

Cool Down
Light jog / Stretching / De-brief

Aim: A consistent pace for the 5 mins, pick a pace (5k or 10k pace) and try and hold it for each rep. For the rest, if you picked 5k pace, we want to walk to recover. If you’ve picked 10k pace, you want to try and jog the rest.

Thursday Coffee Run

Meet at Trenton Square (outside Coopers IFC) for 7am and we’ll run for about 30 minutes, followed by a coffee and catch up at The Loft, St Helier. You can run at whatever pace you like. We will have a lead and tail runner so you’ll never be left behind!
