You Can’t Win Them All

After our mixed netball team won their last few weeks of games, we come into the last week of competitive games before the FINAL tournament next week. High on confidence, we were humbled by a strong opposition with shooter that scored more than he missed and was ultimately too much for our defense. We go into the final week of mixed netball with a tournament next thursday… wish us luck!

We had a lovely week of lifting and running though. Strength sessions this week were really good, hamtrings are getting stronger and starting to move WELL

We had a number of runners in the Spartans 5k, we saw some great performances in some horrible conditions. A couple of PBs which is AMAZING to see!

Dry, but a little nippy on the rest of the running front though. Gloves were definitely needed but we still saw a great turnout, so thank you! We had the most stunning morning Thursday. Sunrise was on point, it was crisp, it had stopped raining and coffee tasted even better than normal. Felt really wholesome

Also… our new warm up tops are looking SMART!

4 min on / 2 min off x 5

Aim: If you want to work on your speed, push as hard as you can for the 4 mins and walk/slow run the 2 min off. If you want to work on your endurance, you want the 4 mins to be fast, but all the same speed and the 2 min you should still be able to jog, and keep them the same speed

THURSDAY

Meet at Trenton Square (outside Coopers IFC) for 7am and we’ll run for about 30 minutes, followed by a coffee and catch up at The Loft, St Helier. You can run at whatever pace you like. We will have a lead and tail runner so you’ll never be left behind.
